The best fidget toys get hands and fingers moving without distracting classmates, family members or employees. Anecdotal evidence has shown that a good fidget can improve focus and attention. Adults have reported that they can provide an appropriate way to relieve stress too. Fidget toys are popular in classrooms because they can improve focus and attention allowing students absorb more information. Lastly, I'm a fan of fidgets because they can be a calming influence as well.
Have you heard of mouth fidgets? Yes chewing and sucking can help concentration and focus too! For sucking I like Smart Mom Teething Bling Pendents:

For aggressive chewers the Oh Plah! Bracelet is designed and tested to withstand even adult biting!
My List of the Best Fidgets:
The Tangle Relax is by far my favorite fidget. This twistable Tangle is covered with bumpy rubber. It is totally quiet and feels amazing. Break it into two pieces and you have two fidgets!
The Porcupine Ball works as a great fidget because it feels interesting and is so sturdy! These come in several different sizes. I like the larger size because it is a little more sturdy and fits nicely in the palm of your hand. Great for grade school and up. Best of all these are very inexpensive so if you lose one no big deal!
This stress ball feel so good to squeeze. So if you need a fidget and a stress reducer or calmer this is the fidget for you. However, the ball is covered in several layers of balloons so it does contain latex and can be broken. Don't give it to someone who is particularly rought!
